Our Charitable Focus
In 2024, the Charity Ball Association and its generous supporters donated over $1,300,000 to 22 San Antonio agencies. The funds come from The CBA’s major fundraisers — the Rotogravure, the Children’s Book, Patron Contributions, Prize Tickets, and the Ball — all with the goal of enhancing the quality of life and building solid foundations for the children of Bexar County. Replacement of aging heart screening equipment to ensure safe, reliable cardiac screenings for teens across Bexar County.
Baptist Temple
Replacement of aging HVAC systems across the campus to ensure safe and reliable spaces for children and youth programs.
Boysville
Replacement of the 40-year-old roof on the Chrysanthemum Gymnasium at Boysville’s campus in Converse, Texas.
Communities in Schools of San Antonio
Literacy and mentorship initiative providing books and guided reading support to 650 at-risk youth, helping students build confidence as readers and create home libraries.
Family Service Association of San Antonio
KidShare–Safe Haven program supporting the protection and healing of children while strengthening healthy multi-generational family relationships.
Good Samaritan Center of San Antonio
Improvements to the campus basketball court to create a safer outdoor recreation space for students from low-income families.
Healy-Murphy Center
Critical HVAC upgrade in a primary program building serving children and families.
Jewish Federation of San Antonio
Updated traveling exhibits, educational materials, and artifact trunks used in children’s Holocaust education programs that teach lessons about combating hate, bullying, and bigotry.
Kinetic Kids, Inc.
Adaptive sports and fine arts equipment to expand participation opportunities for children with special needs.
Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation
Expansion of Pediatric and NICU Safety Guides for Bexar County families, including development of an interactive digital version to improve accessibility.
Project Transformation Rio Texas
E-readers and literacy applications for summer camp programs supporting children who are struggling with reading development.
Rise Recovery
Create safe, confidential spaces for treatment and counseling within a new adolescent-focused Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
St. PJ's Children's Home
Renovation of bathrooms in the Kiddie Kottage, serving children ages one to ten.
St. Thomas Moore Catholic School
Installation of a secure perimeter fence and gated entry system to enhance campus safety for students.
The Children's Shelter
Replacement of aging HVAC systems in the emergency shelter to provide a safe and stable environment for children in crisis.
The Madonna Center
Implementation of a campus security system with controlled entry and visitor screening to protect children, families, and staff.
The Magik Theatre
Upgrade of century-old plumbing infrastructure to improve reliability and comfort for children and families attending performances and educational programs.
