Grant Selection Process

Grant Funding

The Charity Ball Association makes a positive difference by providing direct financial support to agencies serving children in need. The charities who apply go through a rigorous and thorough grant selection process that includes financial, leadership and program review, site visits and evaluative follow-up after the money is distributed to assure compliance with all grant requirements.

We offer two distinct funding programs. The majority of our funds are distributed through our Annual Grant Funding Process. The second funding program is the Children’s Opportunity Fund which is essentially an emergency fund used to meet immediate and critical needs.

Annual Grant Funding Process

The Charity Ball Association funds well-defined and specific projects designed to support and enhance the quality of life for the children of Bexar County. The funding cycle begins each October with the Charities Workshop. All Bexar County children’s charities are invited to attend.

The Charity Ball Association strictly adheres to our Funding Policies, as well as the established deadlines. Late or nonconforming applications will be disqualified.

The process and timeframe of our Grant Funding Cycle are generally the same year to year. Updates for the year are posted every September. Charities seeking funds should:
